Lay out
In this magazine the lay out has invisible columns and also there is many pictures. Each picture has a type of relation to the page number. In the top right corner the magazine previews the front cover, the contents page follows the colour scheme of the front cover. The colours red, and white give it a sophisticated look. The texts used it very simple and short making it easier for the reader to engage into each topic. Each heading of a section is in bold making it clear of the different pages. In this contents page, it does not use the word 'Contents' it uses the word 'Issue 297' which may confuse the reader because it not very clear that this is the magazine content page.
Lay Out
This magazine only has one invisble column. Its divided the topic of the magazine into two such as the features and Fashion. This magazine is simple but effective, the colours used let the text stand out more and also let the model stand out more. In this magazine they've only used one model which may show that there isn't that much diversity within the magazine, most of the magazine may just be about one particular topic. Under the headings there are subheading, underneath the subheadings show a short text on what that page will be out, the subheadings allow the reader to know what the page is being about before reading the text, or if the reader wants to skim through the subheading allows the page to be generalized into a subheading
Differences
In the first contents page is more lively bold and colourful. the page has more than one column. The first column is pictures, the second column is images, with a review at the bottom and the third column has a preview of the front cover and the page numbers alongside headings and texts accompanying it. In comparison to the second contents page the second contents page does not have that much colour, however the colours work very well together. The simplicity used in the colour scheme and lay out is very effective. There is only one column, which shows order and the magazine is straight forward. It may also suggest that the first contents page has a different target audience, because they both have different specifications.
